THE PRICE OF ME asks one of life's most important questions: What am I worth? Too often, we let our failures, insecurities, and the opinions of others determine our value. This song reveals that God never placed us on the clearance rack of shame. Our worth was forever established at the cross.
Come on down... today's contestant steps to the line with one burning question. "Lord, what's my value?" What's the price of a soul that's never felt enough?
I've guessed low all my life. Marked myself on clearance racks. Tried to discount who I am just to keep from looking back. Then Heaven shook His head at me and said, "That's not who you are." The price was paid in blood for me. My worth was set by God alone, never by my scars.
The price is right, and it's higher than I see. I've been too low, but God calls out the truth in me. The price is right, not earned but given free. Grace shouts my worth with a love that doesn't leave. Heaven flips the card to show, "You're worth My Son," and that's the tag on your soul.
I've tried to guess my value. Always came in underbid. Thought He'd wanted perfection, but He wanted me as is. Forgiven and chosen, "Carry on," that's what the Host declared. Heaven rings the bell and says, "You're more than all your repairs."
And the truth comes clear. You're not priced by shame. You're not priced by fear. Your worth isn't measured by what you've done. Heaven stamps the final tag: Paid for once, and it never was your guess. Your value was set by the One who loves you best.
The price is right. No bargain. No refund. He paid it all when He gave His Son. Lights flash. Heaven cheers. And the scoreboard shows: Paid for. Already won. Already known.
Final reveal. The price was never about me. It was Jesus. And He said every soul is valued. Paid in full at Calvary. Paid for once. Paid for once. Paid for once.

I've guessed low all my life. Marked myself on clearance racks. Tried to discount who I am just to keep from looking back. Then Heaven shook His head at me and said, "That's not who you are."
The price was paid in blood for me. My worth was set by God alone, never by my scars.

Every day, people place price tags on themselves. Some measure their worth by success, appearance, income, relationships, or past mistakes. Others spend their lives believing they will never be enough. But God never asked us to estimate our value. He already declared it through the sacrifice of His Son.
Scripture: John 3:16, Romans 5:8, 1 Corinthians 6:19–20, Ephesians 1:7, 1 Peter 1:18–19, Isaiah 43:1, Acts 20:28

Father, thank You for loving me enough to send Your Son to pay the price I could never pay. Too often I have measured my worth by my failures, my fears, the opinions of others, and the mistakes I wish I could erase. Forgive me for believing that my value depends on what I have done instead of what Jesus has already done for me. Help me see myself through Your eyes and not through the labels the world or my past has placed upon me.
Your Word declares, "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son." (John 3:16). You also remind me, "You were bought at a price." (1 Corinthians 6:20). And Your Word says, "You know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed... but with the precious blood of Christ." (1 Peter 1:18–19). Thank You that my worth was settled forever at Calvary and can never be reduced by my failures or increased by my accomplishments.
Today I choose to reject every lie that says I am worthless, forgotten, or not enough. When insecurity tries to lower my value, remind me that Heaven already revealed the true price of my soul. Teach me to walk with confidence, not because of who I am on my own, but because I belong to You. Let my identity be rooted in Your love instead of my circumstances, my achievements, or the approval of others.
Help me see every person the way You see them. Remind me that every life is precious because every life was worth the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Let my words bring hope, my actions reflect Your love, and my heart never forget the incredible price You willingly paid to redeem me. May I live each day with gratitude, humility, and confidence, knowing that I have been fully loved, completely redeemed, and eternally Yours.
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

I spent years trying to guess my worth, measuring my life by broken moments, old mistakes, and voices that never spoke for God. Every failure lowered the price. Every regret added another discount, until I believed the labels more than the One who created me.
Then Heaven revealed what no earthly scale could ever measure. The cross was never a bargain. Love never negotiated. Mercy never searched for a cheaper cost. Jesus paid the highest price because Heaven saw the value of every soul.
The nails became the receipt, and the empty tomb became the proof that payment had been accepted forever. My worth was never determined by my past, my performance, or my pain. It was established by the Savior who willingly gave everything for me.
Now I no longer wear the labels my past tried to give me. I wear the name Jesus died to give me. The world may keep changing its price tags, but Heaven's final price tag has never changed. It still reads: Paid in Full.
