The Mime is about discovering that God is never silent, even when life feels quiet. Like a mime who tells a story without speaking, God often reveals His love, guidance, and faithfulness in ways we do not expect. This song reminds us that faith is not built on hearing more words but on trusting the One who promised, "
He walks out… He smiles… He removes his hat and bows to an empty chair. The crowd laughs. He waits, as if Someone just smiled back. He reaches out his hand. Nobody's there… or… is there?
White paint hides the tears I keep. The crowd sees laughs… I see my King. They watch my hands. I watch His face. They call it nothing… I call it grace.
One step forward. One step slow. Walking with the One they don't know. They see empty. I see full. They see silence. I hear You call. Eyes say, "No one's there." Faith says, "He never left." The louder they laugh… the clearer I hear. Love is closer than fear.
He's here. He's here. Though these eyes can't always see. He's here. He's here. Walking every step with me. The crowd sees air. Faith sees the King. The unseen hand leads everything. He's here. He's here. I don't walk alone.
Walking by faith and not by sight. The Mime reminds us that although the world may only see an empty chair or empty space, the believer knows Christ is always present.
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:7, Hebrews 13:5, John 20:29, Matthew 28:20
Father, as I pray this, I remember that even when I cannot see You, You have never stopped walking beside me. When the world tells me I am alone, remind me that Your presence is not measured by what my eyes can see but by what Your Word has promised. You have always been near, faithfully leading every step I take.
Your Word says, “For we live by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7. Your Word also says, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5. And Jesus said, “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” John 20:29. You also promised, “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:20.
So even now, as I stand before You, help me trust Your presence when my feelings say otherwise. When I walk through seasons of silence, remind me You are still speaking. When others cannot understand my faith, give me the courage to keep walking with You. When fear tells me I am by myself, let faith answer that You have never left.
Teach me to walk by faith instead of sight. Help me recognize Your unseen hand directing my steps, Your peace calming my heart, and Your love surrounding me every moment of every day. May my life become a testimony that You are closer than my fears, stronger than my doubts, and faithful in every season.
Thank You for Your constant presence, Your unfailing promises, and Your everlasting love. Help me live each day knowing I never walk alone because the King of kings walks with me.
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. In Jesus name Amen.

The crowd saw silence.
I heard a voice.
They saw an empty chair.
I saw a throne.
They watched painted hands.
I felt nail-scarred hands.
They counted every step.
He directed every one.
They searched with their eyes.
I trusted with my heart.
They applauded a performance.
I worshiped a Savior.
When the curtain finally falls,
the greatest miracle will not be
that I learned to perform without words—
it will be that the King
everyone thought was unseen...
was there all along.
